Molino
College and
I provide a wide variety of information to students and parents. Reference materials, websites, college information, professional/technical schools information, career advisement, testing, financial aid and scholarship information, and the list goes on! It’s all for free and I hope you take advantage of this wonderful service!
Students are always welcome to visit with me during the day. Parents are encouraged to make appointments to come in and visit and ask questions. The process of getting from high school to the “outside world” can be a little daunting but I am here to help make the transition just a little easier! Please let me know how I can help.
Registration
materials for college
admissions testing programs such as the ACT, SAT I & II, are
updated and made available from the center throughout the year.
Students are "strongly" encouraged to register online.
Financial
Aid Information
State and Federal Scholarship information and financial aid,
applications (FAFSA) Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and CSS
Profile; books and guides, computer scholarship search programs, and
advertised public and private scholarships.
College Information
Meetings with admissions representatives from colleges, universities,
and other post-secondary institutions; school files with catalogs,
viewbooks, and applications, paper and computerized, college guides by
Collegeboard, Peterson's, Barron's, computerized career and
college search software.
Career &
Occupational Information
Extensive files covering hundreds of occupations, including videos,
computer software and books on careers and career planning; such as the
Occupational Outlook Handbook, Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT),
Career Cruising, a computerized programs with career interest
inventories.
Career/Technical and
Trade School Information
Catalogs for accredited post-secondary career schools and training
programs; information about career and technical education programs.
Employment Preparation
Job information board, resume writing program, practice interview
techniques, help filling out job applications.
Summer Programs and
Enrichment Opportunities
Information from colleges and universities on pre-college summer
enrichment programs, volunteer and paid positions.
Military
Information
Information on all branches of the U.S. armed services, active and
reserves, Federal and State National Guard; U.S. military academies for
the Coast Guard, Air Force, Navy, and West Point.
